Subluxations
What causes physical ailments? In many cases, the cause is the interference of some of the myriad of messages and impulses transmitted from the brain along the nerves in the spinal column and through to other parts of the body. Often this interference is caused when misaligned vertebrae impinge the nerves branching out from the spinal cord. This is called a vertebral subluxation, or simply, subluxation. Subluxations can cause obvious pain, discomfort and other symptoms, but sometimes, can go completely unnoticed, causing a whole range of seemingly unrelated ailments. Returning the bones to their proper alignment will allow the normal flow of nerve impulses to return.
Because the nervous system and the body as a whole is too complex to fully understand, we don't know enough to predict exactly what effect a subluxation will have. However, we do know that any change in the flow of nerve energy results in an abnormal change in body function.
